Ikonic

A couple of highlights from the 'This Could Happen to You' Ikon exhibition:

Pieces by Irish pintmaker Tim Mara, who specialises in photographic screen printing, creating detailed, vibrant domestic scenes from the seventies. Repeated patterns, shadow and light and political issues are all adressed by the bold series of interiors, which were produced during a time of significant industrial change.

Ian Emes award winning 'French Windows':

the initial experimental film created by the artist, who went on to create the first ever comissioned animated concert film for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in 1974, which can be seen here.

Following this Emes has produced a critically acclaimed archive of animation and videos including the video for 'The Wall'. You can read about the filming of this/read more about Emes here.
